The successful candidate will maintain and improve, as part of the existing Linux team, the Sponsor’s Linux software and
hardware environment. This includes responsibility for the operating system software and its successful integration with
the hardware and applications software across the organization as well as maintaining the servers it runs on.
Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities
Required Experience, Skills, & Technologies
Minimum of 10 years configuring and maintaining Linux servers
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related discipline, OR 10
years of related technical experience may be substituted for education
Strong Linux administration experience
Experience working in an organization with complex, intertwined systems and data flows
Experience creating, maintaining, and communicating complex information technology documentation
Experience with domain account management, particularly via Centrify, LDAP, and Active Directory
Experience applying security patches in a Linux environment
Strong shell scripting experience
Ability to manage a large, complex server environment
Experience with the server environment, its hardware components and how/where they are used
Understanding how to troubleshoot and replace server hardware if necessary
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively and proactively across a large organization of
dispersed teams
