About the Role
The Senior Contracts Manager is a member of the Contracts Team and is responsible for full contract lifecycle management of assigned contracts. This includes pre-award and proposal support, post-award administration, modifications, renewals, extensions, compliance, and contract closeout for both prime and subcontract work. Responsibilities also include managing subcontracts, purchase orders, and independent contractor agreements.
As a member of our team of contract managers, the position will be responsible for the following:
Review, draft, and negotiate contract terms and conditions, teaming agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and other contractual documents.
Interpret contract terms and conditions and provide guidance to internal stakeholders.
Perform risk reviews of contracts and other legal documents and develop mitigation strategies when necessary.
Identify non-compliant terms and conditions and work with internal teams to mitigate contractual risks.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FAR and DFARS changes and communicate impacts to existing contracts.
Evaluate Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) and support development of mitigation or avoidance plans.
Manage GSA Multiple Award Schedule and other contract vehicles by analyzing, reporting, negotiating, and maintaining modification requirements and terms and conditions.
Support company audits by preparing documentation, coordinating responses, and ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
Participate in the development and implementation of contracting procedures, policies, and process improvement initiatives.
Provide program teams with summaries of contractual requirements that may impact cost, schedule, or performance.
Collaborate with Program Managers, Sector Vice Presidents, and Project Control Analysts on contract execution and compliance.
Monitor company performance for conformance with original proposals and contractual terms and conditions.
Support timely and accurate billing to the government for prime contracts and to prime contractors for subcontracts, coordinating with finance and project teams to ensure compliance with contract requirements. Provide guidance on contract pricing, cost allocation, and other financial aspects of government contracting.
Provide guidance and support to junior contracts staff and project control analysts, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Assist with the development and implementation of training and knowledge-sharing efforts to keep the team informed on FAR/DFARS updates and contracting best practices.
Support monthly financial activities including billing coordination, preparation of ETCs and EACs, and responses to financial and program data calls.
Support contract negotiations, modifications, and issue resolution with government customers and prime contractors.
Maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders, including Navy program offices, internal project teams, and subcontractors.

Strong financial acumen, including experience supporting budgeting, cost tracking, invoicing, and project financial management.
Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) contracts.
Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) and their application to contract administration.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated ability to mentor and support team members, including willingness to train others on tools, processes, and best practices.
