Overview

AVIAN is searching for a Guard II to join our team in support Naval Test Wing Atlantic. This position provides access control and security of the flight line and hangars.

Responsibilities

  • Control access to the hangars, monitor the flight line and entries to the hangars via camera systems and physical inspection in compliance with Air Force Instruction AFI 31-101, OPNAV INST 5530.14E, OPNAVINST 5530.13D, and ICS 705-1
  • Provide roving assessment support throughout various squadron compound areas including the unprotected water access at Squadron Hangars. Roving access control support is also required for both AA&E storage and sensitive program space certification.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 

  • Be able to adapt quickly to changing circumstances in a medium- to high-stress environment.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service.
  • Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
  • Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.
  • Part Time Position  4 hrs total per day. Monday-Friday

Qualifications

  • HS Degree or GED equivalent
  • 3 Years Experience 
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
  • Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Salary range: $40,000-$42,000. (The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.)
