AVIAN is seeking an Information/Data Manager, Senior to support our customer at Patuxent River Naval Base. The ideal candidate will develop and implement sets of techniques and/or analytic applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software.

Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for configuring and customizing DoD FlankSpeed (FS) SharePoint Online (SPO) systems according to NAVAIR specifications, building scalable web applications, writing and modifying code, debugging software, and training staff. An extensive knowledge of SharePoint Online and MS Office software a must, proficiency with front-end programming languages, and the ability to solve complex software issues, creating clean, scalable SharePoint websites that meet all NAVAIR design and functionality requirements while maintaining all programmatic documentation/information using a metadata structure. Candidate will apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets. They will visualize, interpret, and report data findings and will create dynamic data reports.They are responsible for ensuring smooth transition to SPO from ShareDrive utilizing metadata back end infrastructure and maintain and manage operations of all collaborative environments while protecting valuable data and information using creative thinking skills to solve problems and collaborating with others.

 

Duties:

  • Coordinate the management of program data
  • Refine program processes and implement digital solutions
  • Stay up-to-date on new technologies to ensure the Program Office information is secure and optimized 
  • Design, code, implement and maintain scalable applications
  • Extend SharePoint functionality with forms, workflows, web parts, and application technologies
  • Test and debug code
  • Review website interface and software stability
  • Work with various NAVAIR champion groups to troubleshoot software issues and create additional collaborative environments and applications
  • Maintain and update SharePoint applications
  • Train staff on how to use the applications

Qualifications

  • Education Required: Master's Degree in computer science or software engineering with allowable substitutions. Allowable Substitutions: Bachelor's Degree plus two years additional work OR Associate's Degree plus 4 years additional work OR 6 years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a Master's Degree.

  • Experience Required: Over 10 years of experience performing duties described in the functional description.

    • MOSS or WSS certification is a plus
    • Previous experience as a SharePoint developer
    • Extensive knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Frameworks
  • Experience Desired: 

    • Skills: JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, XML, Query, SQL Server, Web Services, Microsoft Teams, PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI, Qlik, Tableau, SQL Server (on-prem and Azure), ShareGate, and High-level coding skills.
    • Ability to solve complex software issues.
    • Ability to project manage.
    • Detail orientated.
    • Self-motivated.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.
  • Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Salary range: $114,000-$163,000  (The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.)
