Overview

AVIAN is seeking an Administrative Assistant (Journeyman) to provide administrative support to executive staff with office management responsibilities to include clerical and personnel records. The Administrative Assistant Journeyman may be required to assist on projects requiring research and preparation of briefing charts and other presentation materials in addition to secretarial duties (filing, taking phone calls, scheduling appointments).

Responsibilities

  • Routine clearical and adminisrative functions.
  • Drafting correspondence.
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files.
  • Answering phones calls and directing them accordingly
  • Update and maintain personnel security files
  • Assist with more senior positions, and/or performing functional duties under the oversight of more senior positions

Qualifications

Required Experience:

  • 3 to 10 years of experience.
  • A Bachelor Degree may be substitued for four years of experience

Desired Experience: 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
  • Knowledge of BASICS II (Base Access Security Information Control System).
  • Knowledge of Defense Travel System

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.
  • Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Max compensation for this role is $52,603. This position utilizes a SCA contract which offers a unique benefits structure which includes an hourly benefit rate in addition to compensation rate. The hourly health and wellness rate can be utilized to offset benefit costs or utilized as additional compensation if the candidate does not require benefits.
